Warehouse Storage Solutions
Alexander James was tasked with seeking a number of sales professionals over a quarterly period for one of our clients WSSL. Given the company have a solution focus with the emphasis on large warehouse projects within the racking industry they required a specific type of sales professional from within the sector with a strong understanding of projects in addition to CAD qualifications and experience of using CAD in their roles. They also, naturally, needed to have a proven ability in a sales function having dealt with large projects and customer accounts successfully. Ultimately, what the company required was what we termed a 'Project Sales Manager.' In essence, an individual who had an overall understanding of warehouse solutions, not just racking and ideally a background in a Project/Contracts Manager's role having then moved into sales. One such individual that we had built a relationship with was Mike Wilshaw. Mike had a high level experience of working both in the racking industry and in material handling also with a strong background in both projects and sales. It was clear to see that that he was an ideal fit in respect of his expertise and capabilities and was seeking a fresh challenge having been with his ex employer for a number of years.
Mike was initially adverse to going back into the mainstream of the racking sector but after a number of discussions he began to see how the position with this particular company was a strong fit for him in comparison to other racking providers.
